		SST-3200 2500 / Manufactuerd by NOMURA SHOJI Sonic Sheet Tester is a nondestructive fiber orientation measuring instrument in paper based on ultrasonic technique. Molecular orientation in plastic film can also be measured. Measuring Principle: Ultrasonic pulse transmits in a paper or film sheet of density p with speed C for a fixed length L in a certain time T. Then, Young's modulus E can be described by following formula. [ Formula ] SST measures T in msec or C in Km/sec by 11.25 degree interval for 360 degree, calculates fiber (molecular) orientation/ cross-length ratio/ peak values (max and min)/ tensile stiffness index, and presents graphical and numerical results as below. [SST-3200 & SST-2500] FEATURE SST-3200 is the newest version of the SST-series with a patented multi-sensor measuring head. The tester offers you very fast automatic profile measurement of fiber orientation in a strip sheet up to 10 meters in length with the sheet feeding device. Distance between measuring points is adjustable. Manual cut sheet measurement is also possible with the drawer type measuring table. Data transfer is made through RS232C interface for data processing by your PC. SST-2500 is the same in basic construction, but without the feeding device.
